I've always been drawn to the hands-on side of agriculture.

Whether I'm working with horses, helping train wild Mustangs, assisting in veterinary care, or caring for livestock, I've learned that doing the job well depends on more than hard work. It also depends on communication, organization, and making sure the right people have the right information.

That's what led me to create EqueTrainer.

The Idea Behind EqueTrainer

I saw how easily important details could get lost between horse owners, barn managers, stablehands, trainers, veterinarians, and farriers. Everyone may be working toward the same goal, but they're often relying on different ways to communicate and keep records. I wanted to find a better way to bring those pieces together.

Learning at Mizzou

My education at the University of Missouri (Mizzou) Honors College has given me the opportunity to approach that challenge from several directions. I'm studying General Agriculture, with an emphasis on animal sciences, agricultural communications, and agricultural business, while also pursuing minors in Business and Journalism. Each area has helped me think differently about building a company—not just how a product works, but how it solves a problem and connects with the people who will use it.

Building Something Meaningful

Building EqueTrainer has been a learning experience in every sense. I've been involved in developing the application, shaping its features, building the brand, securing grant funding, and introducing the idea to others in the equine and agricultural communities. Along the way, EqueTrainer was selected as a Top 10 finalist in Mizzou's EQ Competition and accepted into the Griggs Innovators Nexus Incubator Program, where I'll continue developing the business through May 2027.

I've also been fortunate to have my entrepreneurial work featured in agricultural and regional publications. Those opportunities have helped me share the idea behind EqueTrainer and connect with people who understand the challenges I'm trying to address.

What excites me most is the possibility of creating something that people can actually use in their everyday routines.

I don't want EqueTrainer to be another piece of technology that makes horse care more complicated.

I want it to make communication easier, information more accessible, and teamwork more natural.

Looking Ahead

I'm still a student, and EqueTrainer is still growing. But I believe some of the best ideas come from recognizing a problem firsthand and being willing to do something about it.

That's the approach I'm taking with EqueTrainer: combining my education, my experience in agriculture, and my passion for horses to build something that could make a meaningful difference for the people who care for them.
