From storefronts to startups: student entrepreneurs grow their businesses at Mizzou
Show Me Mizzou features EqueTrainer among the student businesses growing inside the Griggs Innovators Nexus, where founder Roselynn Orr is building a platform that brings the information surrounding a horse into one connected system.

EqueTrainer is one of the student businesses growing inside the Robert and Shelly Family Griggs Innovators Nexus in the MU Student Center this fall, in a program run with Missouri Student Unions and U.S. Bank that gives student entrepreneurs storefront and incubator space while they build.
Founder Roselynn Orr, a junior from Columbia studying agriculture in the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources, works on EqueTrainer from an incubator space in the Student Center. The platform is designed to bring the information surrounding a horse into one connected system: a more complete record of each horse over time, so the people responsible for it communicate more effectively, notice meaningful changes earlier, and make better-informed decisions about its care, health and training.
"Learning from different people in the Griggs Innovators Nexus who have different skills than me has been so helpful for me in terms of growing as a person and as a business owner," Orr said.
