Roselynn Orr, Founder
Roselynn Orr is the founder of EqueTrainer and an Agriculture major in the Honors College at the University of Missouri. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in General Agriculture with academic emphasis in Animal Sciences, Agricultural Communications, and Agribusiness, along with minors in Business and Digital Storytelling. She is currently pursuing a certificate in Personal Branding and Digital Marketing.
Roselynn's academic training is paired with extensive hands-on experience across equine care, training environments, veterinary support, and livestock operations. Her background includes work as an assistant trainer in professional horsemanship programs, a stablehand at an equestrian center, a veterinary assistant in a clinical setting, and a farmhand responsible for daily livestock care and reproductive monitoring.
These roles provided direct exposure to the operational, safety, and communication challenges faced by agricultural and equine facilities. Through this combined academic and applied lens, Roselynn identified a persistent gap in equine operations: critical information related to horse health, training load, foaling status, veterinary coordination, and workforce safety is often fragmented, informal, or lost across shifts—despite the high-risk, time-sensitive nature of these environments. EqueTrainer was developed to address this challenge by introducing structured data capture, role-aware workflows, and human-governed decision support into real-world barn settings.
EqueTrainer is designed as a non-diagnostic, safety-critical platform that emphasizes explainability, auditability, and human-in-the-loop oversight. Its system architecture reflects principles commonly found in regulated and safety-sensitive industries, adapted for agricultural contexts where connectivity may be limited and work is performed in low-light, hands-busy conditions. The platform supports coordination among trainers, veterinarians, barn managers, farriers, and staff while preserving professional boundaries and accountability.
Roselynn's work has been supported by competitive agricultural grants and academic programs, and she remains actively engaged in agricultural leadership, interdisciplinary collaboration, and applied innovation initiatives. She is proud to be a Missouri Tiger and part of the University of Missouri's culture of agricultural innovation. Through EqueTrainer, she aims to contribute to the advancement of agricultural technology that improves animal welfare, workforce safety, and operational resilience for farms, barns, and institutions.
